I made this banner to spice up my mantle and add some spring color to my home. Make your own banner for spring or Easter to hang on your mantle, over your dining table, credenza, or in your door way. I used a banner shape, you could use any shape you like, even spell out “Easter” or “Spring” with letters.

Materials:
scrap paper to create pattern
paper of pattern and color of your choice
scissors
hole punch
ribbon to match paper

First: make your pattern. Then cut out the shapes in your pattern paper. (If you are hanging in a place that you will see both sides, you will want to use paper that is patterned on both sides or cut a pattern for the other side as well.)

Second: punch a hole in the top of your shape with a hole punch. For my shape, I punched a hole on each side at the top.

Third: string your ribbon through the shapes

Fourth: hang and enjoy!
