Mothers Day corsage DIYMay 27th, 2010 @ 1:03 pm
I have seen these corsages everywhere lately, so I decided to make one for my mom for mothers day. I was really happy with the way it turned out. Sorry about the quality/lighting of the pictures, I made this at 10:30 the night before Mothers Day.
You will need:
a flower
leaves (if you wish to use them)
ribbon (I made it long enough to tie in a bow, wear as a belt, or tied around wrist)
button pin (I used an old political pin)
hot glue gun
leaves (if you wish to use them)
ribbon (I made it long enough to tie in a bow, wear as a belt, or tied around wrist)
button pin (I used an old political pin)
hot glue gun
First, cut the stem off of the flower. Make sure that you cut far enough down that you can still keep the flower in tact and remove the left over plastic stem. Turn the flower over and apply the leaves with a hot glue gun, if using leaves.
Hot glue the center of the ribbon to your button. Cover the rest of the button with scrap ribbon by cutting as close to size and you can and applying with glue. Then turn the button over and glue the edges down.
I forgot to add the ribbon on the side and had to add it after I glued the flower on. After you have the ribbon on the button, hot glue the flower on the button. Viola! Mothers Day corsage to wear as a pin, as a belt or tied on your wrist.
